Campus greenhouse turned into popular café - 13.06.2008
Copenhagen’s latest café is situated in beautiful surroundings at Frederiksberg Campus. A cool place to have a hot coffee or a cold beer while chatting to friends or checking your mail, to meet a date or just to chill out among the summer flowers.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Frederiksberg Campus, students at the Faculty of Life Sciences have been given permission to run a café all summer in a refurbished greenhouse.
The ambitions of the café team are high – with the café’s super setting in the garden of the Faculty of Life Sciences, high-quality homemade food and reasonable prices, they aim to become the most popular café for young people in Copenhagen.
The menu includes sandwiches on home-made bread, organic juice, coffee and tea and the special anniversary beer “Campus”.

The café ”Væksthuset”, the Danish name for greenhouse, is situated in the protected garden of Frederiksberg Campus. Entrance from Thorvaldsensvej. Opening hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 – 22:00, weekends 11:00-22:00. The café is sponsored by Danish Agricultural Advisory Service.
