University of Copenhagen moves up ranking list - 18.08.2010
University of Copenhagen moves up to a position as number 7 in Europe in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) and is also number 7 in Europe on a list compiled by Leiden University based on number of publications. Within the field of life and agricultural sciences, University of Copenhagen also has a prominent position.
In the Top 100 list of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2010 just published, University of Copenhagen (KU) has climbed a few steps up to a position as number 40 in the world. Last year KU was number 43 on the list. University of Copenhagen maintains it position as number one in Denmark and is now ranked as number 7 in Europe (Number 8 in 2009).
In the field of Life and Agricultural Sciences, ARWU ranks University of Copenhagen number 46 in the world with the only other Scandinavian University higher up the list being the Swedish medical university Carolinska Institute.
