Faculty Management
The Faculty Management is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Faculty and consists of the Dean, the Associate Dean for Education, the Associate Dean for Research and the Faculty Director.
The Faculty Management meets every Tuesday.

Erik Bisgaard Madsen took up his position as Associate Dean for Research at LIFE in April 2010 after having served as Director of Food Safety and Veterinary Matters in the Danish Agriculture and Food Council. An MSc in Veterinary Medicine, PhD and holder of a business diploma, he has previously worked as Deputy Managing Director of the Danish Bacon and Meat Council and the Danish Meat Association. Furthermore, he has worked at The State Veterinary Serum Laboratory and in a veterinary clinic. For a number of years, he was the chairman of the Programme Committee for Health, Food and Welfare of the Danish Council for Strategic Research as well as a Member of the Board of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the Food Control Committee of the Ministry of Food and of the Advisory Food Committee.

Grete Bertelsen previously held the position as Head of Department at the Department of Food Science at The Faculty of Life Sciences.
Grete Bertelsen was appointed Associate Dean for Education on 1 February 2008.
LIFE- Faculty of Life Sciences merged with Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen on 1 January 2012.
