BSc and MSc Courses as Continuing Education

You can use LIFE's BSc and MSc courses as supplementary training courses and as supplementary courses with a view to admission to a particular study programme.

BSc and MSc Courses as Single Subjects

Find your course by searching the LIFE course list. Here you will find information about course contents and scope, teaching resources, literature lists, days of teaching (places in the timetable) and lecture halls. Guidelines on how to use the database are available. Information concerning year and week structure can be found at this website: Academic Calendar.

The courses are offered in accordance with the rules governing part-time education. This means that anybody can apply to attend the courses subject to fulfilling the admission requirements and subject to availability. Some of the veterinary courses are not offered as single subjects.

If the number of participants for a particular course is limited, first priority is given to full-time students at the Faculty of Life Sciences, while second priority is given to full-time students from other universities. External participants doing single subjects are given third priority. The course description in the course database will mention any restriction of the number of participants.

E-learning courses

For courses which are 100% online (online courses) with no teaching on campus, students can only apply if they are attached to a project, organisation, partners etc, and with close relations to researchers at the Faculty of Life Sciences. Please state the name of the contact in the application.

On the right hand side of this website you will find the application form which can be used for the different types of continuing education at LIFE.

Later applications will be rejected, and you will have to apply again next year.

NB: Because of structural changes within the faculty, the deadlines might change during the year, so please make sure to keep yourself updated.

When you receive your letter of admission, an invoice for the tuition fee will be sent to your stated invoice address. When we receive the tuition fee you are finally admitted. The tuition fee will not be refunded if you choose not to participate in the course.

Residence Permit

If you do not already have a residence permit in Denmark, please note that it is not possible to get a residence permit if you only take individual courses. You will have to ask for a tourist visa, but this will have a limit of 3 months and therefore you will only be able to take courses in one block (9-10 weeks).
