Executive Orders
The Universities Act came into force on 1 July 2003. Following the Act, a
number of new executive orders have been issued. The most important
executive orders in relation to the curricula are:
Executive Order no. 338 of 6 May 2004 on bachelor’s and master’s degree
programmes in universities (the Education Executive Order)
The Education Executive Order is of significance for students who have
commenced a bachelor’s degree programme on 1 September 2005 and
later. KVL has decided under Section 77(4) of the Order that the Order
will also apply to students who have commenced a master’s degree programme
on 1 September 2005 and later. Students who commenced their degree
programmes before 1 September 2005 will complete their programmes under the
provisions of the previous executive orders:
- Executive
Order no. 694 of 30 August 1993 on the natural sciences degree programmes
in universities etc.
- Executive
Order no. 863 of 10 October 1994 on the veterinary medicine degree
programme
- Executive
Order no. 714 of 19 July 2000 on the food sciences degree programmes at the
Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University and the Technical University
of Denmark.
Executive Order no. 362 of 20.05.05 on admission etc. to bachelor’s and
master’s courses in universities (the Admission Executive
Order)
Executive Order no. 867 of 19 August 2004 on examinations in university
degree programmes (the Examination Executive Order) and Executive
Order no. 231 of 22 March 2006 on change of Executive Order on examinations
in university programmes (the Examination Executive Order).
Executive Order no. 513 of 22 June 1995 on marking scales and other
forms of assessment (the Marking Scale Executive Order). It is
expected that at new executive order on marking scales and other forms of
assessment in university degree programmes will enter into force on 1
August 2006, applying to grades and assessments awarded from 1 September
2007.
